I’m drawn to stories and conversations that sit around music and arts. Writing is how I connect ideas, people, and moments, and how I make sense of the worlds they create.
My practice is rooted not in formal, dry journalism, but in building spaces of trust, shared vulnerability, and connection with artists and creatives. I’m especially interested in documenting scenes and voices that exist beyond the Western gaze, centering perspectives and practices that are often overlooked or misrepresented.
Tight - Co-founder & Editor
2017 - 2021
Kyiv (UA)
Tight was a bilingual femme-led and curated online platform for contemporary music and visual arts; aimed at providing a platform for contemporary voices in music, cultural commentary, and artistic expression outside of the radars of mainstream media.
Tight became an important reference point within the Ukrainian music scene, known for promoting global sounds and documenting subcultural movements with nuance and care. Although the platform is no longer active, its legacy continues to influence conversations around independent music, visual arts, and alternative cultural production in the local scene as well as worldwide.
As a part of editorial team, I featured remarkable electronic acts at the beginning of their careers. My writings included interviews and features on artists like Zuli (Egypt), Loraine James (UK), Bendik Giske (NO), HDMirror (UK), EarthEater (US), DJ Python (US), and offered one of the first international media appearances to artists like DJ Djaki, balani show DJ in Sanakoroba (Mali), or Indonesian duo expanding sounds of gabber and dangput koplo Gabber Modus Operandi.
My work at Tight also included production coordination for our eponymous clothing line.
